Many technicians at other companies view this as the "silver bullet" that fixes all of the indoor air quality problems. These are great products but they are more of an insurance policy against bad things happening in the air handler- the coldest and most moist part or the air conditioning system. U/V lights should be used in conjunction with better filtration.
When installed at the air conditioner coil, TrueUV helps prevent surface micro-organism contaminants such as mold from forming on the air conditioning coil and drain pan which can lower the efficiency of the cooling system and can allow unwanted odors into the home.
