HVAC

Acronym for heating, ventilation and air conditioning. The manually or automatically controlled heating, ventilation and air conditioning system in a home or other building used to maintain comfortable conditions. A complete HVAC system includes equipment that provides heating, cooling, filtered outdoor air, and humidity control. Not all HVAC systems include all of these features. HVAC systems can be single-room stand-alone units or centrally-controlled systems that handle large multi-room areas.
